Hello, I hope someone can help with this one.

I'm trying to install escapade on a Raq4i but get stuck with the following steps.


1. Copy esp and esp_run to your cgi-bin directory. This must be done as root


Copying as root ? Yelp. and ....


Remember that esp and esp_run will run given the permissions and UID that the web server will allow.


I'm lost, looking forward to some helpful replies. :(

Do you know how to SSH/telnet into the server (as admin) su to root, then cp file.name (copy file.name)?

Yes, got the copying as root bit now, but as for "given the permissions and UID" I'm not too sure.

I'm not sure I'd worry about that unless it doesn't run properly. Someone more technical than I may be able to tell you in advance, if something is flubbered.
