I'm just wondering - who's hosting your sites? All the time you see these great offers from US Hosts, but aren't there European alternatives - with servers in Europe? Wouldn't that be an advantage when it comes to speed?

I'm looking for a reliable $50-70/year hosting service with a reasonable amount of storage (100MB).

Any ideas? Oh, I'm in Scandinavia BTW...

thx,

I'm from the Netherlands, but I have a few reasons for not hosting my sites in the Netherlands:
- I don't trust them, there are no good review sites
- They're more expensive and/or offer less
- My visitors come from all over the world and are not Dutch only, so speed-wise it doesn't make much of a difference
- Most US/Canada hosts have more experience and are in a tougher competition, so should perform better

I've been hosting my sites in the US/Canada for over 4 years now. Only thing that is really important to me is good email support, as phone support gets rather expensive..

Can you recommend any hosts?

Well.. I find *********** is a very good hoster, I've been with them for over a year now. The only problem is that they're pretty expensive, so I'm looking for a new hosting company now. For my requirements Site5 looks like the best option for me, but your requirements are probably different..

So I'd recommend posting your requirements in the requests forum, check the hosts that reply to you on this forum (and maybe on sitepoint.com) to see how they're rated and give the best one a test, especially support-wise (email).
