I'd like to mix these things together.
I have set up a Yahoo store and discovered they do not offer static IPs.
The client has an existing site and wants us to set up a shop. I'd like to have them set up a CNAME record to point to the Yahoo Store, but without a static IP it's not going to happen.
I have no experience with setting any merchant account/credit card processing sites. I've always just used PayPal for whatever I needed.
Now, I am trying to figure out if there is a better alternative to Yahoo Merchant Account Standard. At $99 a month, it seems to be expensive to me.
Does any one know of a better way to go?

Thanks for the recommendation Paulo
One other thing to add, Yahoo is charging you .5% or more in transaction costs for using their gateway

The original plan was to use a merchant account, but the bank where we were going to set up the account with was not compatible with FDMS, which Yahoo requires.
The mercantaccounts4less looks creepy to me, I worry when I see a company with an ugly poorly designed site. I did see they allow high risk which is something I've been looking for a good solution for with one of my websites. I'll have to do some digging on them. Thanks.
I'd definately interested in more stable options other than Yahoo for merchant services, though only for this one site I'm working on presently.

:) I am working on it Exitof99. We are working on a new design for all of our sites.
but to answer your question somewhat, we are resellers for a few different companies that would fit your needs - not the processor or ISO itself

Why not try a OsCommerce solution, there are several companies out there that will give you a complete OsCommerce shop for less then $25 a month.
OsCommerce supports alot of payment gateways etc.
You can try : http://www.bgsys.dk/lux/index.php?language=en&osCsid=fc56c5fbd33887284eb01b2c4cd015bd
I don't get anything out of this, its just my suggestion.

Thanks,
Actually, I'm ripping apart OsCommerce right now. I've now learned the magic of how to checksum credit card numbers as a result and am trying to learn how to customize OsCommerce for what I need. At the same time, I'm learning PHP as I go...
I've decided to go with Paymentech and Authorize.net. I'm still a newbie to setting up e-commerce, but am learning lots now. Paymentech works well for the expected volume of sales this site should generate, and it's apparently the best to use.
