we started our new company ive been researching this forever i know what needs to be done and all of that im just wondering where is most cost effective place to advertise and what the turnover rate would be like right now we have 50 clients (local) from web design
Depends on how much you want to spend
I would find a couple online sources and put $50 into each and see what happens. Might want to try out overture.com, google adwords, etc. If you sign up with some hosting companies like interland they give you some credit as well

Spending $50 at adwords or overture is throwing $50 away. You need to spend more than that to figure out what works.
So, the question is, where to spend money? It can't be answered without knowing what your target audience is. Identify your target audience and then your advertising options will be clearer.

YOu bring up a good point. I should have clarified because I meant something else but the way I worded it, it's seems very clearly that I'm saying to put it into google adwords.
I meant $50 on websites advertising on their ads. In the WHT's offers/requests forum, you can probably find sites who will let you have banner ads on their site

The best way to figure out where you should spend money on advertising is to sit down and ask yourself:
If I was looking for <insert your service here> how would I go about finding it?
Thats where you should advertise.

You also may want to look into a new name, as "LiquiWeb.com" is very similar to "LiquidWeb.com"...

google adwords is good, but stay away from Enhance Interactive (also known as ah-ha.com). the visitors they send you never go beyond the first page.
