WipeOut

Hi,
I see that Pleask have Spamassassin as an add-on option and an antivirus add-on as well.. This causes the CP to start becoming quite expensive for us..
So the question..
Which of the CP's (Plesk, Cpanel, Direct Admin, Ensim, etc..) allow you to easily add SpamAssassin and ClamAV into the mail system without needing to rebuild or recompile half the server, without breaking the CP and without breaking the bank?
Thanks
Steven

Ensim, Directadmin, and Cpanel make it pretty easy. Plesk on the other hand is a bit different.

Hello,
We could integrate Spamassasin and ClamAV in many plesk servers without need to purchased their add-ons licenses.
We also think Plesk is not being competitive as licenses cost are going high with any 'basic feature' like anti-spam and anti-virus. Thatīs we decided to create WebHost Panel and contribute to community for those hosts are not capable to handle such expenses.

From experience with Plesk 6, 7 and 7 reloaded, and cPanel 9, I'd say that cPanel is effortless compared to Plesk.
Plesk infact broke the server when I tried installing Dr. Web, whereas cPanel had no hitches at all.
cPanel is fantastic for the more advanced, demanding user. It shows a lot more of the nitty-gritty, whereas Plesk hides it all behind pretty XP-like buttons.

Bear in mind that if you run SA or Clam on a server you will use significantly more resources.

Not entirely true really if your server is setup properly.
As for which of the three is easier to add onto.. I'd say cPanel. ;)

I would love you to provide evidence to the contrary.....
