I'm trying to setup a primary and a secondary dns on my RaQ using this tutorial...
http://teamcobalt.interliant.com/pg_faq_setupdns.shtml
But I can't get it to work. Also in the RaQ manual under "Configuring a primary DNS server" it says "Your ISP can help you register your internet server." Does that mean I need to call my ISP and regegister my DNS with them. I've never setup a dns so any help would be appreciated.

Actually, you'd probably go to the place you registered your domain and set up the nameservers and IP addresses (the same thing you're setting up on the machine itself).

Thanks for your response. Here's what I did first I setup raq using the tutorial in the user's manual then after that I went to my registrar and selected the change ip option to point my domain to my server. Then I went to one of my other domains on my registrar and clicked on modify dns when I tries to resolve to my dns it says that they are invalid. So I went back and tried the tutorial on interliant then I went back to my registrar and it failed to resolve my dns again. I'll keep messing with it and see if I can get it to work.

Ok, after you set up the nameservers on the server, did you register the nameservers themselves? It doesn't sound like it. When you set up the nameservers on the server, you used a domain and two IPs, let's say:
ns1.jbenner.com
123.123.123.123
ns1.jbenner.com
123.123.123.124
Next step is to get to the place you have jbenner.com registered and create (register) nameservers and enter the IPs for each nameserver. Somewhere, your registrar should have this function. If they don't, you need to email them asking that they register:
ns1.jbenner.com
123.123.123.123
ns1.jbenner.com
123.123.123.124
maybe you did this, I don't know. From what you wrote, it didn't sound like you've made it this far.
