I have been doing creative work for 15 years and have held positions as Crative Dir, Art Dir and many more. I am willing to pick up a few design or redesign gigs. Just let me know the specs and I'll get back to you with a price. If you have a fixed budget then please let me know.

Sometimes I do stuff for free just to do it.

Examples of my works are:

www.nokia.com
www.cnlonline.com
www.axis360.com
www.xtcyvideoarchive.com

http://webhostingtalk.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=246729
http://webhostingtalk.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=247205

A one page redesign concept for a sites home page with a complete word doc containing a site review and suggested changes, and a Full Photoshop redesign suggestion comp will be included for a small fee of $40.

Just let me know, any other kind of gigs or projects will have different billing.

Nice work there. Did you do the whole nokia site?

yup, it was a redesign. I worked on the project through that ad agency that Nokia had hired. The agency didnt want Nokia to know that they didnt have their own design dept. it was funny, when they knew Nokia was comming in they would have me rush over and set up my work area, as if I had been there all along.

Isn't moving from high priced contract work for Nokia to $40 designs a bit of a come down?

Are things really that bad out there for designers? :(

"Are things really that bad out there for designers?"

In answer to your query- yes, they are. Not many people have good aethetics out there and we have millions of start up folks, high-school kids, and foreigners (USD$ are more valuable to them) who can undercut us serious designers. Sadly, not that many people can differentiate between poor work and exceptional work, so the 10$ logos people are getting seem like a bargain.

I'm not trying to insult anyone with cheap prices, hell I do one page templates for $30 now. It's just sad that our once elite field is becoming swamped with "bargain services".

Just my two pennies,

Always good to see a professional at work.

So much better than my own 'hacks' :)

Thanks guys, and I am doing the $40 dollar gigs to realy assit people in getting a high quality design that they can afford.

I still do the $80k sites for big companies and the $5000 logo and complete corp ident packages. But hose take time and and in the long run dont seem to be fun for me anymore.

With people and businesses here I can in some cases push the limits of design and usability. My design style chages over the course of a year to keep pace with what is happening now.

Mylatest trend and one I intend to stay in is fast loading, visualy appealing and sites that rate high as far as usabilty.

The one page "this is what I think works" designs I can do for $40 or more are fun for me. All I ask is that when that person that bought my design is asked who did your design, I get the credit and maybe a link on that site. Not to much more.

I design because I love it. I get payed to play not work. The more creative I can be the more fun I have.

Being honest, that fact that people say "you do great work, or your designs are awsome" does make you feel good and that what you have been busting your ass for is justified.

Some designers are cocky and think they are the sh*t. I dont there is always someone better. i just try to do the best I can and be humble about it.

Ok, enough of my ranting. Once again thank you people for the comments and work requestes.
