What do you feel is the most up to date, secure, fast loading, and user friendly control panel (over all) & why?

Plesk 7 "Reloaded"
Ensim Pro
"other"

(I've excluded cPanel, as it has less features then what we'd want)

H-Sphere is quite good. It has integrated billing and support. If you don't mind me asking, what features did you find in Ensim that were not in cPanel?

Just curious why you haven't included DirectAdmin or H Sphere in your poll?

Good choice exclusing cPanel ;)

I really like Helm. Also curious why this isn't an option. Anyone else?

Having worked with many solutions since 1999, I think Plesk reloaded offers great functionality, apart from being very easy to use even for my amateur customers.

Any other solution I have used (including Ensim) cannot beat Plesk.

I speaking personally, felt that cPanel was more then enough to run our servers. However, it's user friendliness came into play. Not that it wasn't user friendly, but the fact it would need some "tweaking" based on some customers needs, should they wish to rent a server or even some of our shared hosting.

At this time, to keep cost low & the need for support, we wanted to easily just "clone" our servers "as is" and know that the majority of our customers, will not need any further setup. Both cPanel, Plesk, and Ensim will be used & offered, but we looking for a "default" panel to settle on. Our technical phase if over with & at this time, public feedback is always something we could improve.

H-Sphere... Questions about it's power to bill people, came into play on if it would be compatible with out choice of merchant software / service. Though I want to make it fully clear, that it has not yet been ruled out. Every matter is being very slowly & carefully thought out, before even our free beta service is made available (we will not be offering free hosting, but will go through a beta phase).

DirectAdmin was ruled out, based on personal preference & lack of public knowledge & awareness. Though it too will be still offered.

Interesting. I personally don't like Plesk Reloaded - it hardly provides any detailed information for anything, such as Exim configs, Apache status and so on. It's just more of a pain than with cPanel/WHM I find.

That said, when I used Plesk I did like it, it certainly seemed better than Ensim (which I've not used for an extended period of time) - so given your requirements I'd pick Plesk Reloaded. Hmm, an abbreviation of that is PR :p

If you wish to make a poll, include the main competitors. A control panel poll means nothing if you do not include Cpanel, one of the most popular control panels. www.cpanel.net
