I ordered a web host and custom design package for my gaming site. The web hosting is good, the design look for your self. www.506thregiment.com. Except for 2 banners I supplied all images thus far. I already filed a complaint wth paypal. I have asked the designer serveral times, is this design more than you can handle. Never got a response, but what I see so far tells me they are amateurs at designing. I don't have complaints about web hosting part of deal but under the current situation I think its best I move on. I have asked for a refund except for $5 to cover one month of hosting until I find a new web host. I have tried to call them, used email and messenger, no response. I ordered this on Nov. 18th, One week design time is the norm. I provided links to other sites to let them know the quality and look I was wanting.
they seem to be very nice people and I really hate to do this but we are talking about money, I don't play around with it. I gave several outs concerning this project. I have several emails and Instant messages giving them. Asking if they were over their heads for the design? I would post this on their forums but currently they are down as well. I am at the point to where I feel my deposite is lost. They responded to a post by using a Private message from a post of mine for web design on this site.

Those people use a template from boxedart. It has not been changed at all. Why would you buy web design services from people who cant make their own website? Unfortunatly, you brought this upon yourself.

I didnt see anything until after I ordered it.
If I was aware they couldn't do custom designed
sites, the order would not be placed.

I wouldnt doubt if that content was "influenced" by another design firm. :) I never take content to heart, as anyone can steal it or make it up. Look at the examples they show, and talk with them before purchasing.

I did this, She seemed to be nice and said she could do whatever I wanted. If not a deposite would never have been sent.

Check their terms. If you are unhappy, sometimes they do not give the deposit back. This is very important, depending on how much you paid, as you are clearly not happy with your design. Also, dont get angry. Give her a few days as it is a holiday and she may be gone.

I hardly understand your complaint about no responses. We responded to you via email, forum, and MSN messenger. We may have responded a little slow yesterday, which is only because of a National Holiday. You have sent $100 via Paypal all together. You purchased a yearly hosting plan which you have no complaints over. That comes to $60. Therefore, you have paid $40 for the design you have now. Do you honestly think that for $40 you are going to get a masterpeice to your likeing? We have designed sites for plenty of people who are satisfied. Find someone who will make you what you want for less than $40 , and I will be suprised. We have done everything you have asked to the best of our abilities. We can not gurantee to anyone that our product will be 100% the way you want it.

Why did you not design your own website? Using one from a template website is hardly professional, it meerly shows your true design skills, which seem to be limited.

the cost for the design was $150, I only sent a deposite. I am glad I only sent partial payment and not the full one. nothing is custom about this design. don't make it sound as if the design i was getting was only $40, when the site design was $150. $60 for a year of hosting and $150 for the custom design. a payment was to come later the the balance. Total package deal was $210.

There are plenty of successful and quality web hosts/designers that use templates. For a simple answer, it saves time. If there was such a problem with our design, then there would be many more complaints. It is equivalent to questioning why a host uses cPanel even though they also offer Custom PHP Scripting. Why did they not design their own Control Panel?

That goes againist me telling the designer I wanted a custom site. I don't want a template everyone else uses as well.

custom design is not a template used over and over.
Several references was given for quality and look i was going for, not once was I told it couldn't be done. The current site speaks for it's self.

The only thing in the subject was "website". Check your Paypal logs and you will see. You can attempt to bash the work we have done all you wish. If you would like us to continue the design process, then we would do so, but otherwise, we will respond to any questions you have via email.

You requested PHP-Nuke. That, in itself, is a Open-Source CMS. You requested an Army-Type theme for PHP-Nuke. If you wanted complete "custom" everything, then why request PHP-Nuke?

Refund and Disputes: All payments to STCFX are nonrefundable. This includes the one time setup fee and subsequent charges regardless of usage. All overcharges or billing disputes must be reported within 60 days of the time the dispute occurred. If you dispute a charge to your credit card issuer that, in STCFX's sole discretion is a valid charge under the provisions of the TOS and /or AUP, you agree to pay STCFX an "Administrative Fee" of not less than $50 and not more than $150.

the only reason I do not post other sites who offer exclusive phpnuke designs so not to involve them with this dispute.
Once this is resolved i will show you a custom phpnuke design.

wasnt charged a set up fee. Keep $60 and hosting plan in place.
refund $40 of it. Price was given as package deal, your end of the deal wasnt upheld. If not I will pay you $50 for nothing to move my site and get a real designer. refund $50 you keep $50
leave my site up with coming soon page, until i can get a new web host in place. Use your fine print to cover your butt, but knowing whats right and wrong still exist. I am sure this will cost you more than $50 in the future, so pay now or pay later your choice.

I sent 3 or more emails today and sent messages on msn messenger before posting here. If you refund my money of %50 or more I will ask that this post be removed and be done with it.

Latest On STCFX, They sent a PM asking me to resolve the dispute with paypal. Apparently paypal locks the account until dispute is resolved. I asked for a refund of $40, still remain with them for the year of web hosting. It was agreed, well I resolved the dispute with paypal but didn't get my $40 refund. My only option now is to call paypal back to say the issue is unresolved.
Sent 2 emails asking for refund, plus sent PM's before posting this new information.

I am also having troubles with STCFX....
I ordered a wrestling rpg script and it wasn't done how I wanted it to be done. I emailed and PMed Michael on the forums and he gave me a response saying send the modifications via PM and he would fix them no sweat. So I PMed him my document and I haven't had a response yet. I am not bashing them or whatever, I simply posted to start some communication back again.

Like I said in my topic, I am not trying to hamper or put any dent into your company, it was very good fast support and overall it was excellent. But I have submitted many PMes on your forums and I have gotten no response. The only reason why I decided to post on WHT was to signal to you of my responses and hopefully get back to me. To other WHT members my issue has been resolved as my original intention to get a response was obtained.
