Hi everyone...
I'm very interested in buying my own domain/host.
I need only a few basics...
-Reliable
-Cheap
-Fast
-Email forwarder, etc.
-sub domains (in case I host other people)
I was thinking about your-site.com to host me and godaddy.com to register the domain.
I'm not sure if your-site allows subdomains.
Can someone help me out?
your-site.com is like $60 a year
godaddy is like $8.75 a year

well cheap, reliable and fast dont always go hand in hand.....
Hosts that I would recommend:
ventures online
aletia hosting
GoDaddy should be fine for your domain, I have a few domains with them
How cheap exactly do you want it?? because if cheap is all you are after, I have seen yearly plans going for $35 and less....
good luck

I just want to be able to have hostees and let them have their own FTP for it.
I also want it very affordable. It isn't a business, just a personal site for fun.
I prefer a price under $9 if possible.
I'm more concerned with getting the host than the domain.
But I am still open to domain registration services..=)

Your-site.com is very good. Great support, uptime and speed.
I have had 2 of my domains that like you do not need much with them for 6 months.

Sarina is getting a domain! Yay! :D I am probably going with myacen.com. For $50 a year you can get craploads of stuff :) Or for $25 a year, you can still get a bunch of great features!

Yeah..I need the basics. I dont mind once a month downtimes. I know nothing is perfect. I just dont want daily downtimes ya know?
I want something that's consistent and reliable.
Aletia seems ok. =]

We have been very satisfied with godaddy.com. Why pay 2-4 times as much for the same product and the same - or better - level of service?
