You know, rarely, if ever, do I find a book that covers stuff in addition to what you can find on the web. How often do you lay out $$$ for a book and find that when you need to know something off tangent or a little tricky you can't find the answer. Too often books cover things that you can find online such as how to install or configure XXX - or you can find in the README files or the man pages.

That said, I have read other praises of the Craig Hunt series in other forums.

But, I reckon, you should be able to find the info you need on the web or in the READMEs or man pages. That's part of being a geek. As far as I am conserned nothing beats having a couple of gurus on your ICQ list. That's what makes all this fun, IMHO; interacting with intelligent people who are happy to reciprocate wisdom on their area of expertise. OMG, I'm going to cry :stickout

<edited to add> OK, I've collected my sensibilities now. Just want to back up my words with something practicle. look into www.linuxdoc.org

I was just about to post something about it's always best to have a good couple of books lying around (must the old pre-internet part of me when manuals where all that white thin stuff my coffee soaks into)...

... but that link of yours is a mighty fine one indeed. :D
