I suggest that you start to read the archives of webhostingtalk.com. You should be able to find pretty much anything you need to know. Peter 21inchguns 02-06-2002, 02:50 AM well this is the best place to start out........... I would recommend that you do alot of research before you start out, develop a good plan, and dont rush into anything..... cheers BeCoMe1 02-06-2002, 08:16 AM For a while ago I found a thread on this issue, it was pretty good, it told you what to do step by step, I will post it if I find it, you are welcome to search too... BcemBPot 02-06-2002, 05:02 PM I thank you for the advice. I'll definitely look into the webhostingtalk archives become1 if you find that thread can you please let me know. Thank you! BcemBPot 02-09-2002, 07:29 PM Can people write some more information about starting out, even though everything on this site is helping me very greatly I still want some people to write something about their own starting out experiences. Thank you! Gurudev 02-09-2002, 07:56 PM You need to hang around, be patient, create a list, prepare a plan, understand what others are doing.... If you want to be a reseller tomorrow, you start at least 3-6 months ago. You could start today and screw yourself or even worse screw all of your customers (some people do it that way). Just hang around for a while. akuo 02-12-2002, 07:54 AM Reading this forum every day for the next few months is a very good idea :) You'll form a pretty clear idea of who's offering what and who to stay clear of (and for what reasons)! Everyday 02-12-2002, 10:50 AM I always direct new customers to helpwithhosting.com there is a lot of information for beginners there. It might help answer some of your questions. SeanTaylor 02-12-2002, 06:39 PM There is a thread posted in WHT not to long ago titled "How To Start". It can be found here (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31342&highlight=start+out+reselling). Also, try the Beginner's Guide to Hosting (http://www.helpwithhosting.com/beginners_guide/beginners1.html) at Help With Hosting.com (http://www.helpwithhosting.com). Finally, you can try a search on WHT using keywords such as "how to start", results (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=253565&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending). Hope this helps. I'm still pretty new at this stuff, but I'm learning a lot from this board. Best of luck, Sean :stickout |
