You can also submit to many of the search engines or pay per click services. Once you get your business established you will see that a good deal of your service will come from referrals if you do a good job.

Tox, don't neglect your own back yard... and some plain old shoe leather. I watched a local hosting start-up a year or so ago knock off over fifty new clients, including most of the lucrative design work, in less than a year... just by hitting every small-to-medium business in the area.

I'm not really looking to spend a lot on advertsing all though I own a few high traffic web sites which I can advertise on.

I can't really target the local companies as I'm from Denmark and of course they want the servers located in Denmark as well to get a higher connection speed.

Yeah, that could be a problem. Maybe you need a spare box in the basement... lol... just for the local trade.

Seriously, it may not be a bad idea. Server boxes have gotten pretty cheap (see Dell, Compaq, IBM, etc.).

I was going to say work with Chamber of Commerces, and go to
networking events....those seem to work well for us.
You might also try working with an ISP, I know there are some ISPs that don't do the design services but do host them....you'd have to find an ISP that would work with what your trying to do (design and hosting) though.

Most search engines do not update their databases for six months to a year. The best thing for getting ranked is time; kind of ironic in the hosting business (time)

Is there a domain registration company in Denmark? I would approch them and ask for a partnership for all domains to be parked on your servers in turn for residual income.

We did this with NSI and register.com and had over 2,000 clients within our first year.

Just another great marketing tactic that has worked for us.
