Hello Guys,

Can anyone of you please help me in installed Analog from http://analog.sourceforge.net/ . I don't have any clue on how to install it.

I have one more question too.. Would it be available to all my clients like webalizer was (http://www.anyclient.com/webalizer) or do I have to install it for each domain separately?

Thanks in Advance!

O Come'on.. No replies.. Thousand of RaQ users on WHT nobody have installed Analog upto date. I can't believe that. Or is that people here no more want to share the information.

This sucks!

Come on Omair , having a bad day? ;)

AFAIK there is no package for it so you will have to do it manually

There is a version of Analog installed already on the RAQ but version 4 or something old. The Cobalt CP uses it for it's lame stats feature.

So you 'just' need to do something like this

1. create some .cfg files for each domain. Download Analog and you will see there are some sample config files in it.

2. Create a cron file which runs every night. It should
- create a ~stats library under each domains web/ directory if it is not already created.

- create a .htaccess file and place it under /~stats which should give access to siteX admin user and also server admin

( these steps are done by the webalizer.pl cron job, you might install that and check it out )

3. run analog once for each domain with a unique cfg file for each domain as inparameter

Since it is so much work, I'd suggest you should as well recompile latest source 5.1 of Analog

Sorry to say, it's a pain in the ass. I started doing this cause I wanted to use ReportMagic but took the easy Webalizer path instead

Ofcourse I am having a bad day. :( Clients are shouting at me as Webalizer have stopped giving out stats.

I had alread decided that I would use it with Report Magic as well as another add-on which gives it a better look.

Would you help me in installing Analog? Do you have ICQ or any other IM so that I can contact you?

Please reply asap.

Replying here so someone else could pick it up.

As I said I never succeded, I was just describing in general terms the way I tried to do it. Thought it was kind if a 'thing-I-would-like-to-do-sometime' thing.

Also, need to go to bed, if I don't go my 2-year-old won't go either - and it's 22:14 here in Sweden...

Hope it works out for you Omair
