I want to start something like Geocities, or Tripod or some place like that, who give out free accounts, with a little bit of space, and bandwith. Now is there a script out there, or a program that will automatically sign up users with a free account, under your resellers account, or if you own a server.. That way you dont have to go in and add that account everytime, yourself? I would like to offer free accounts, but dont have the time to go and add all the new accounts everyday.. That would take alot of time. Please let me know any ideas. Thanks

Well, I would like to point out that free services like this are commonly used for illegal activities. Spamming, scamming, pornography, etc.

You can use a script such as WHMAutoPilot or ModernBill, make the small account package and then create a coupon to discount the package completely. You will then have free hosting accounts.

Boy can I relate to the problems with free hosting!

2 years ago I offered very small free plans with no cgi, no databases...etc. I used a hosting script called Webspace Tool.

Let me tell you, it was the biggest headache I ever encountered. Spam complaints, hack attempts, warez, you name it. I put an end to it mighty quickly.

Trust me. They rarely upgrade to a paid account, and being that a great majority are using it for illegal operations there is really no advertising revenue to speak of. It's a big waste of time.
