Today we received refund request from Revecom.

The cardholder has contacted them by telephone.
He states that he did not order our service, and would therefore like a refund.

Ok. We suspended account and then...... logged into his account and ..... found 2.8Mb text file with CC information in /public_html/ folder.... He was from Indonesia....

I wont be surprised coz here in Australia recently a government website for selling toll passes online was hacked and all credit card information downloaded. I bought passes before and i cancelled my credit card.

The news report even have one of the kid who has the CC info doing an interview. He was caught buying tens of thousands of merchandise online. On the TV, he showed somesort of a EXCEL file with credit card info. He even said that the cc infos are now available on websites, underground and spreading fast.

You seen those things that take your finger print by putting it on glass and a little laser scanning it? I think that should be as standard as a mouse or keyboard, and to use a credit card you need the right finger print. That would eliminate 100% of all credit card fraud unless they cut off the person's finger or something :P.

I've seen ppl use them on a Mac before... They put their thumb on it and were automaticly logged in :).

This is what I would do

1) Go through all your logs pull his IP
2) Find out who owns the IP block / IP he is coming from.
3) remove the account and save those files
4) Contact the CC company with all the information
5) Call the local police if you care a whole bunch.

A while a go I was arrested and taken to the Police station (nothing serious and I was not prosecuted).
They tried to take my fingerprints on one of those but my right index finger would not work in it.
The police officer looked at my finger and asked me why my finger print on that finger had all worn away

"oh, thats my mouse finger" I said.

Strange but true.

LOL!! OMG, that's the greatest thing I've ever heard :).

I was arrested once and my "mouse finger" worked just fine :P.

Now from what I've read about this, it's illegal to store that number alongside credit card numbers (or anywhere else for that matter). Whoever lost the list not only exposed a whole lot of cards, but broke the law themselves by listing the only thing that might have prevented most of those cards being used.

*shakes head*

Ah yes, I've seen that too. It's pretty nifty, but there is no way I'm spending 100 bucks on a finger print reader! :D

Currently I've set up my Mac so that when I say "My voice is my password", it automatically logs me in. Kinda geeky LOL...

I don't know - that's not too bad. Now geeky would be:

"Make it so, Number One"
"Engage"
"He's dead, Jim"
"Trust No One"
"Smithers, you turn me on"

I received the message from VISA :)

"Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We have forwarded your message to our Risk Management area for further investigation. Should they require further information they will contact you directly."

I don't like the idea of another 4314 fake orders from Indonesia :)

Hope they will find this stupid company who lost cc details.
