Im looking to purchase modernbill but I want to find an economical ssl cert first. Ive searched through the posts, but never saw a definitive answer. Thanks for all your help.

It don't get much more economical than The StarterSSL Certificate through Ev1 (http://www.ev1servers.net/english/starterssldetails.asp).

My need is to satisfy the ssl requirement of modernbill. Will the starterSSL cert do it? Thanks for the help.

Registerfly.com has a starter SSL certificate for $15.99 right now.

If you want cheap, a free IPSCA 6 month cert would do it. Granted, it's not my choice for a production environment (not trusted in non IE browsers, I believe):

Otherwise, I'd go with Comodo for $49.
