Do I have to have a credit card to accept credit card payments? If not anyone know where I can set up a free account too? Please don't say paypal, because I need a credit card or a bank account in the US but I live in canada.

I've been using paypal for 6-8 months. The biggest hassle is waiting for your bank to process the transaction. Mine takes 5 days. Now I use a PayPal debit card as a credit card and get 1.5% back. Last time I checked all you needed was a bank account for paypal deposits. You get rated higher if you add a credit card to your profile.

Paypal accepts business users from 30 countries. Canada is probably the most trusted of those. International users must pay a fee for transfering money into or out of their paypal account.

There are alternatives to PayPal, none of which I've tried. Maybe, someone else can comment on it.

Here's the terms of use - http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/terms-outside#user_responsibilities

and here are the fees - http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/fees-outside

PS: No, I'm not a paypal employee. Just a user.
