View Full Version : Anybody ever used this bank
Surrender 11-20-2004, 04:26 AM http://www.aggregate-finance.com
Just wondering if this works well with Paypal, or if this is good at all. We all know how picky paypal is with bank accounts...
Thanks a lot in advance !
Surrender 11-20-2004, 03:12 PM Anybody?
Does anybody know if paypal takes Swiss accounts?
gghosting 11-20-2004, 07:43 PM Try a search on them on Web Hosting Talk.
columbus 11-20-2004, 10:57 PM PayPal will allow Swiss Bank accounts. In fact, PayPal has it's very own Swiss PayPal site. So the bank account offered at www.aggregate-finance.com should work.
Darkanoid 11-20-2004, 11:27 PM Dont you need to register your paypal in swiss to? I mean I have a Dutch paypal and can only withdraw to Holland. How can you withdraw to another country?
E_man3 11-20-2004, 11:37 PM You may have to pay a wire transfer fee.
aggregate-finance.com is not a bank.
Surrender 11-21-2004, 04:56 AM But they do have bank accounts, that's why I'm asking...
bunga 11-21-2004, 07:04 AM aggregate-finance.com is not a bank. They sell information about how to open up a Swiss bank account. You do not need pimps like them.
Most probably they refer you to postfinance.ch , it is the Swiss postal bank service. It is a reliable and full featured bank, of course you have Swiss bank secret assured.
If you ever had an American bank and compare it to a Swiss bank you will be amazed how they care for customers. Also, as an American you should notice that in Europe credit cards and related credit card payment systems with all the related hassle and extra costs are not an issue. You can tt funds domestically to every other bank account and it only costs you a few cents, regardless of the payment amount. No merchant account, no arrogant Visa/MC acquirer, no setup for anything.
I am more than happy to advise on non-US banks and payment methods. Since Uncle Sam froze my US account and deactivated my MC card in connection with the patriot act without giving me a notice and endless telefon calls to reactivate the accounts, I have become an anti-US crusader, no funds in USD anymore, no brokerage account in a facsist country.
Darkanoid 11-21-2004, 07:13 AM hear hear. but they do have good movies :)
bunga 11-21-2004, 09:46 AM Opening a bank account with Postfinance.ch is straightforward.
You simply submit the online form and they send the account forms by post. You need to return the forms with notarized passport copy and signature cards to Postfinance and they return to you your ATM card and l/p for online banking.
I do not exactly know about restrictions for US citizens and some other countries. For what I know, Uncle Sam does not allow his citizens to have bank accounts in other jurisdictions. You may get into troubles when you receive post from such banks.
The usual workaround for US citizens is to incorporate an offshore company and open corporate accounts. Check out how the Bush family opened accounts on Cayman Islands!
Most wealthy people who open Swiss bank accounts prefer to visit the bank personally. If you visit Switzerland, they don't stamp your passport, so there is no hard evidence you ever visited that country.
Swiss people are very clever, they love their freedoms so much that they even use it!
About Paypal and Swiss bank account:
I do not know if it actually works and if it would be a good solution. You can only assign bank accounts to Paypal accounts for your own country. I am not sure if you can wire USD funds to a Swiss acocunt if you are registered as US or other citizenship.
Secondly, if you run your business from outside Switzerland, Paypal traces your IP you use to log into their account. They are only waiting for cross country violation to seize your assets.
Third, Paypal charges insane currency exchange rate, they will only wire out CHF to Switzerland.
Fourth, Paysystems does not care for your privacy, transfers would be disclosed to tax authorities.
Instead of Paypal, use the Swiss branch of
www(dot)klikandpay(dot)com/indexus.html

amos462001 11-21-2004, 01:51 PM Switzerland are a "CLOSED" country from what we have seen.Whenever we send goods there we have to attach 5 Customs copies for the Swiss authorities and 2 for the UK customs.
They are fastidious and overly zealous about paper work, and anyone thinking of shipping tangible goods there take note of what we say.The only other country as bad is Finland.
No antiques are allowed into or out of the country,no movement at all.We have to be very cautious how we word things.
Surrender 11-21-2004, 10:19 PM Thanks for all your help !
bunga, I have a couple of questions:
1) About Postfinance.ch, does it work well with Paypal?
2) Is there really a cross country violation rule for Paypal?
bunga 11-22-2004, 02:50 PM I don't know if it works with :flamethr:Paypal. You need a credit card for the account to register it with :flamethr:Paypal. When you sign up with Paypal as merchant for your country (personal address), you cannot access the backend from a different location, otherwise the account gets frozen.
If you use a bank account for a different jurisdiction, it may change the point of sale and business.
There were many merchants some years ago from countries that were not supported by :flamethr:Paypal. They got cheap US bank accounts and maildrops and thought they could use it from overseas places like Middle East, Asia etc. :flamethr:Paypal seized the funds of those accounts, there are whistleblowser claiming :flamethr:Paypal instructs its employees to plunder such accounts. It's how they robbe a lot of money.
That said, do not use :flamethr:Paypal, they are greedy, unethical and not licensed as bank.
Do process in a jurisdiction :szflag: where money transfers are regulated by bank laws and your funds actually are owned by you. USA and Canada do not qualify for this category. To claim your rights, it costs a fortune, companies like :flamethr:Paysystems and :flamethr:Paypal can simply hide away with pretexts.
columbus 11-22-2004, 07:37 PM You can always fool PayPal by changing your proxy location. Do a search on the net for anonymous proxy addresses, and then go to your internet options to change the proxy address. However, you will still need a physical address in the country where you want to use PayPal.
bunga 11-23-2004, 02:46 AM Paypal does not allow proxy access, it is stated in their disclaimer. They check proxy access technically. If it is not a private non commercial proxy server, it won't work.
But why deal with Paypal when there are better solutions. Businesses like Paypal prepare all kinds of pitfalls to steal your money.
You would never have any problems signing up an acount from whatever location/ip. You would never have any problems to collect some funds, but if you want them to wire out ....
