Does anyone know of any software or services that are made for businesses that have contracts that need to be signed by them and their customers over the web?
Currently we do everything by printing/fax. It'd be a whole lot easier if both parties can just visit a secure website and enter a "signature" on the contract.

LOL no I mean a digital signature, like a code, or them entering some personal information. I believe some banks allow you to set up accounts online with a digital signature.

Banks will also pull your credit history on the fly and ask you to verify
who you are. This is how they get away from it.
Unless you have this kind of system setup, which is not cheap, then
an electronic signature is not worth much. A fraud artist in Viet Nam
can just as easily type the customers name, address, phone, and card
number in as anyone else.

Some places will ask for your ssn and that will count as though you signed it.

Of course, it's possible. And the name for this technology is PKI (public key infrastructure), known to industry quite a few years.

Well, PGP may or may not be one of technology in PKI framework. The definition of PKI goes well beyond of PGP. But, indeed, the digital signature can be created with the help of PGP.
