Hi,

I've be trouble shooting this for a few days now but I cannot work it out.

They are probably related.

Firstly.... someone from China recently abused my mail relay (mail enable) for spam. I have fixed this now but mail is no longer leaving the message queue. This has never been a problem until recently. (Not caused because I closed the relay to the public by the way)

The other problem (probably related somehow) is a DNS inconsistancy. If I remotely ping a domain name that I host, I get the correct IP however, if I do the same from the server it is hosted on, I get an incorrect/different IP. However, this does not happen if it was an older domain and the DNS host files were initially managed in by theplanet.com via Orbit.

I would greatly appreciate any insight you can offer. Thank you.

I have now fixd this. It was a simple Things.

All I had to do was go to TCP/IP settings and set the DEFAULT DNS's to my own DNS's.

SHould have thought of that ages ago.
