Hi,

I'm going to setup a site with about certain artist, a singer.
I have the domain names :
ArtistNameArtistLastnameSite.com
artistname-artistlastname-site.com

What is your advise about how to use them ?
I'm supporter of the idea that dashed names are good for SEO purposes, but I still think it looks ugly ....
What do I do ?

Also, what kind of advertisement do you advise to put it there ?
I don't want to put google adsense, I don't think it is proper to it.
It won't contain mp3 at all, but it will have lots of picture that I've grabbed from anyplace and many scanned my self from magazines.
So, I think there could be an objection due this, ooor not ?

EXACTLY! It's not about supporting an idea or not. Many so-called SEO specialists forget that ranking high on search engines is meaningless when people don't click on it. I never click on those double or even triple hypenated domains: we all know that they are not *real* websites. ;)

How do you intend to use them?

Every picture is virtually copyrighted the moment they're created,
so there's always the possibility the owner might find it in your
site and complain that you're using it without his/her consent,
especially if the owner of that picture filed a legal copyright to
increase his/her protection.

That's what I am asking here, buddy ! :D
I just have too many pictures, links, info about it and thought it could be a good idea to do it.

Yes, I know.
But I've seen just sooo many, but really sooo many sites about artists that are plenty of all their pictures and they have been there for years...
They all grab the pictures from magazines ... I don't think magazines cares too much about suing their customers (yes, I am since I buy the magazine) or suing their content's providers (the artists are) fans.

Oh okay, sorry about that.

Here's my actual question: will it be for profit or non-profit? :D

If for profit, be vewy vewy careful as you might get a UDRP for it.

If adding amazon links to buy the artists cd's is "profit", then yes.
But I don't even have an amazon affiliate account yet, so, I'll link them without it.

I was thiking on put some adds, but I don't even know how much it will take for it to get good ranked, nor how kind of adds for put.

Easly, it could take 3 months before I could try to get some bucks out of it.

My original question was about the hyphenated or not hyphenated name to use :)

Definitely the non-hyphenated name. ;)

Good luck!
