View Full Version : SHTML DNS Errors

My sites are mental-note. eugamers. com and pokemonfactory. eugamers. com (take out the spaces to load them, apparently I'm not allowed URLS until I've made 5 posts). They both run on SSI, but the server seems to have a problem with file extensions of 4 or more letters (html, shtml). htm files are fine, but html and shtml get DNS erros. because the layouts are all shtml, neither will load :(

Can someone help us? The server admin says there's nothing wrong with the server... is there a way I can get SSI to work with a three-letter file extension? Previous tries have failed, such as .sht, .ssi, .htm.

Thanks for any help.

Check the Apache docs.

There's nothing there that helps... we think it's either a server problem (though that all checks out fine) or something in the htaccess (but that's just got error documents and SSI config in it).
