Hello,

I have done some research for signing up a reseller hosting account and found good reviews about hostgator.com.

Does anyone of you may have account with them and could give some feedback on support, uptime etc ...

Also who is the competitor for hostgator.com, or who would you suggest.

You help is appricicated.

Thanks / Infotq

The free whmautopilot would put a lot of people over the top. Any other reseller host would be their competitor.

I have to agree, the offering of WHMAP is deffintly a advantage they do have. The best way to do a follow up their support and uptime is try contacting them.

I'm on shared hosting account. Uptime is very good as far as I've seen in the last 10 months or so that I've been with them.

With the exception of two DDOS attacks and a script that ran wild I had little problem with the uptime. In fact that's why I didn't need much support so maybe someone can add a few more comments about that part of their service.

From my email exchanges with the owner (Brent) I can say that they certainly know the business and what's needed to succeed.

They have 30 days money back guarantee. Try them. No harm, if you are still not yet operational.

Does anyone know what datacenter hostgator are located in, as I would like to check out there network to check there speeds etc. Also how speedy are there support on the whole? When i used there online help through their site they answered within seconds, is this how it usually is?

One last question, how would you say they compare to surfspeedy? I am currently with surfspeedy, their speed and uptime has been great so far, they just aren't too quick on replying to support tickets. Your help would be much appreciated
