hello
Anybody know Graphic Library out there where I can use for my website ? I hope there are some sites dedicated to free graphic like those hotscripts dedicated for programming language, sorry that I'm really dumb in Art so can do nothing but copy people's graphic idea so visitors won't call my site lame.
Thanks
jakis
Just did a search on Google for "stock graphics" which returned in excess of 2000 hits.
There's plenty out there.
Not everyone is good at art Jakis, that's why they have stock graphics sites :)
Lats...

http://www.graphsearch.com is good too. They've disabled the right-click function but the savvy webmaster will "view source" and get the link to the graphic for download directly from there. Mind you, they do charge for most of their graphics so doing this is somewhat immoral...ah who am I kidding? Just do it. :)

Immoral and illegal actually. It's this kind of attitude that gets under my skin...

I do agree with Greg, but what's the price for these services? I mean, $40 for a pic is a bit over the top, although I once paid that amount for the right to use one special photo.
And it DID make me feel allright afterwards!:)

I find it more irritating and immoral that they would charge money for pictures that for the most part, they probably took for free. While I appreciate that compiling a search engine of that nature takes a lot of time and effort and resource, they really should think their strategy through a little better. Either have a free and paid membership section or (and this is infinitely more difficult) keep it advertiser-supported. In other words, charging for the picture itself is dumb.
Mind you, I don't use graphsearch very much if at all any more since I have access to about 80,000 clipart images on a CD at work. For personal purposes though, I have no issue with using it.
Besides, if they were REALLY that concerned about it, they'd disable the "View Source" option and/or have a new JavaScript window pop up with just the page itself. Since they already disable right-clicking, they're set then. In other words, I don't see anything really wrong with taking images that way.
