We were until recently. We found that we were losing a lot of potential sales, because some people just wont use paypal. We still offer it as an option, and a lot of our clients prefer it, but it is not ideal as your only option.

We offer PayPal, and even Checks and Money Orders, as optional payment methods.

We don't use PayPal as our primary method for credit card processing however, as it's more expensive than our Merchant Account.

We'll be offering online checks in the very near future, and currently even accept P.O.s from larger companies.

One interesting payment option is the direct payment from Electronic Check providers like Fleet Homelink or Fleet OfficeLink. We have been looking into this, and it's effectively a funds transfer between your customer's checking account and your own. We are looking at how to get immediate feedback with this system so that we can credit a customer's account balance and let them purchase immediately on receipt of an e-check this way.

We have it as an optional method, as stated above your own merchants account is much cheaper and a better alternative if you have many transactions. Some even include e-checks as mentioned also.

If you currently have a business checking account through your local bank I would suggest them as a starting point because you will normally avoid application fees this way or at least cheaper and normally the rates are much better because you are already an established customer.

we are just starting out so we dont really want to splash out on a merchant account just yet. We currently use paypal, however we also use nochex.com and accept payment via bank transfer, cheques and postal orders

I used it for a while as primary payment method - big mistake.

I've now gotten a 2checkout account and my abanadoned sales have decreased and total sales has increased, no clue if total sales is due to 2checkout or other factors but either way.

Would you recommend 2checkout over revecom?

I have never used Revecom, so I cannot really comment on their services, but I can say that 2checkout.com service has been excellent, each and every issue whether major or minor has been solved in no time, I would definately recommend them!

2checkout.com or Revecom:

I use 2checkout and am very pleased with them

However a couple of times I have looked over at Revecom and thought they have a few cool features ( for example coupons ) but every time I contact their sales support I get no answer. Just an autoresponder...

Need I say I don't consider Revecom an option anymore

We are hoping to roll out discounts and coupons as a feature by the summer.
