Hi, Im thinking of getting into web hosting... I push a lot of bandwith myself and therefor get if fairly cheap.

I have no problems getting people I know to host with me, but these are guys who push 1000+ gigs a month. I'd like get some low bw customers as well so I'd like to hear from some resellers and what it would take to get your business.

I would like to know what features are most important to you as resellers and at what cost? ie, unlimited domains, how much bw, at what cost, etc.

Id also like to know what is more important to you... price or quality? For example, my bw is premium, from multiple teir 1 providers... I basically have no dowtime but the cost is obviously higher. Would you prefer to pay $0.50/gig for cheap bw, or $1-1.50 for good bw?

And for dedicated customers, would you mind paying $100-$200 more a month in machine fees if it meant excellent 24 hour phone support as apposed to 9-5 weekdays? Would you also like the option of buying the machines as opposed to a monly fee?

Any other suggestions/comments you guys could give before I jump in, please let me know.

Thanks,
-Sean

There seems to be a fairly good market for both cheap and quality bandwidth at the moment. Maybe offer your customers the selection of both. Or create plans that use predominantly cheaper bandwidth with the preimium used for load balancing and redundancy.

Personally, I would prefer quick, helpful web/internet based support. There are many 'instant' messaging solutions, which I would find more helpful than telephone support. But I've a feeling your local customers may think differently to myself. :)
