The mafia hits again...

please send me an email to pslawsuit@gmail.com if you are willing to host the domain. There was nothing on it, just the email address for people who were looking for info. I cant put it on our server any more so if any one can give me some space (10K will do! ) on his server, let me know and send me the DNS info so I can update the domain.

Where was it hosted previously, and what happened?

Did they send you a "cease and desist" kind of legal notification ?

Let us know why it was shut down. I am sure a lot of hosting companies would support you but they would like to know what they might be getting themselves into

Here, this is what they wrote. A bunch of C$#p:

"Dear Sir/Madam,

As I understand it, your company is providing the servers for the
above-referenced website.

Please be advised that the contents of said website are defamatory, libelous,
and, by including pictures of Mr. Fayer (CEO of PaySystems) also a breach of
Mr. Foyer's fundamental rights to privacy.

We ask that you have the "pslawsuit.com" taken down, failing which we will not
hesitate to pursue all necessary legal action. We trust you will govern
yourselves accordingly.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the number
indicated below.

Regards,

Marianne Tawa
PaySystems Legal Counsel
(tel) 514-227-6885 (fax) 514-227-6884"

Here is what was the content of the page was:

" For instruction on how to get your money legally, safely and fast - send us an email to:
pslawsuit@gmail.com " and then two photos of PaySystems CEO, photos taken from the internet.
THAT'S IT. Nothing "defamatory" or "libelous". They just wanted the page down to harm our efforts for a class action.

I say, lets open 15 pages for each page they try to take down.
People have their photo on the News Papers and TV every day. This is NOT in any way "breach of Mr. Foyer's fundamental rights to privacy." I think that their breach of "not giving us our money" is "a little" more serious.

Lawyers send out these cease & desist letters all the time because they know that 90% of the time they work.

Philip Fayer is one in a million. Don't let this jerk intimidate you, leave the site as it is.What is he going to do for money for his libel action, use ours? He is a windbag and a man of straw, take no notice.

But the issue it seems is that the hosting company took it down & does not want to get involved. Try placing a link to his image. It is a tricky situation with the images actually.

I agree that is it a bit bogus but one could also say - did you have permission to take those images / what were those images?

I'd agree that the issue here are the ownership of those images. If we snapped our own photo of him, there's nothing that could be done about that or if they were used with permission from the original sites.

I say put the site back up without those images, but possibly something more damning in it's replacement, such as a timeline of the events that have occured so that potential customers know what kind of company they are.

As far as I'm aware, there is no problem to LINK to the images.

So find them on the internet and then just post the links to them under a "PICTURES OF OUR BUDDY PHILIP" heading.

Until you get a certified letter from a legitimate court of law... there's no problem to host the site.

If your web host took down the content with only a letter from the "asking" company, then this is not good. There are many discussions in these forums on the rights and obligations of a web hosting company.

In your case, they may have decided to just absolve themselves of the whole issue and took your site down.

Maybe try hosting it on something cheap, like 1and1 or ipower, or do a hostquote submit on this site and find a $1/year host...

IDEA!
What if you put a headline on the site in question, such as

***These are the names of people that Philip Fayer( the head of Paysystems) owes money to****>
Then we just list our names and our country. No e mail addresses for the harvesters to gather.Interesting to see how many actually contact to list their names.

I got about 8 emails from you guys, with account info ready to be activated (or already activated) and the site is up for a few hours now. Some of you are just saints.
Now we know that they have our attention, they visit the site a few times a day.. how we will use it?
If you are willing to put your name on the page and your story, I will put it there as for Amos's idea. Just write me "your story" and I will put it online.

The lawyers that I am in contact with advise me to wait for the 6 month to pass. After that date they have NOTHING to hold on. The letter that they sent my lawyer was ungrounded and talked about "force majeure" that gives them the right to hold our money.

I would consider installation of a simple guestbook system, so that people can easily write their own stories, and you don't have to personally post each one, etc..

Or perhaps some forum software? Then there can be some good discussion, which the search engines will pick up, etc...

:)

This is good as the more that get involved in the website the better. We just thought that a list of names, and how long people traded with PS, and area of World, may look more "Important" (for want of a better word!) standing out - smack in the readers faces so to speak, more so than say a guestbook. We are not actually guests are we, we are the reason the website is there in the first place. We are the ones who were/are being cheated upon. How do others warm to the idea of their names listed on a website though?

Well at least you now know that for every 1 webhoster that backs down there are plenty standing in the wings. I guess this now means that P.S. will have start mass mailing their letters. :)

Now all you need is for the IP's of paysystems to be blocked from visiting.

Good Luck with the site and as they say "fight the good fight".

Get some one to set up a round robin DNS. Add A records to all those who are hosting the website :D And just keep adding lol

It will keep them busy.
