Just curious, I imagine many hosts have formed some form of a legal entity are more webhosts incorporating or going with an LLC

LLC still leaves you open for liability if you really search deep into the laws, the best way for you to go is a Sub S corp.

Without knowing specifics of anyone's situation, it's not safe to say that any form of business entity is "the best way" for someone else to go. Among other points, there are many cases in which a standard C corporation is the best choice.

But really George was just asking a question that would probably have better put in the form of a poll -- he wasn't asking which was best, but which was more common. Without seeing such poll results, though, my guess just from observation is that more of the hosts here are operating as sole proprietors than as either of the other two most common types of entity.
