View Full Version : Want to buy a hosting company with 100-1000 customers
avara 02-02-2002, 04:51 PM I want to aquire a small web hosting company with between 100 and 1000 customers or more. I'm willing to pay a fair price per customer, depending on factors such as what on average they are paying per month, etc..
Please post here, or email me privately at urban@hostit365.com if you are interested in selling your hosting company.

BrianF 02-03-2002, 01:22 AM I hope that’s a hypothetical question!
That would mean at his max, 1000 users, each would be paying $250.00 monthly.

avara 02-03-2002, 09:39 AM I've heard it said here several times that a fair price would be at least the companies monthly revenue x 6. It also depends a huge deal on the type of customers the host in question has attracted.
For instance, if they're offering 10 GB of bandwidth for 10 bucks a month, they'd obviously be worth less as the cost of maintaining that would be higher than a host offering 1 GB, 3 GB or 5 GB of bandwidth for 10 bucks.

Who in their right mind would sell something like this? :)
Thats a million dollars every four months!
Given that figure, it's worth probably at least 2-3 million dollars for
sale.

I doubt a company with 1000 customers would be earning $250,000 PER MONTH. Even if their average customer was paying $25/mo, there would also costs (server rental, support, etc).
BrianF 02-03-2002, 03:17 PM That's why I don't understand why he asked that question given how remote and off topic it was.

Perhaps, he saw my new late night informercial:
How to Get Rich Buying and Selling Hosting Companies, with no money down!
Similar to the tried and true real estate method, simply buy distressed hosting companies, get a new template from someone in the jop offers and requests forum then, turn around and sell the company before your payment is due.
If you would like to order the complete kit, which includes 24x7 support from hosting vetrans, who have used this method successfully, just send me $199.95!
:D :D :D :D
