I understand now why replies in the Requests forum were disabled, I see hosts replying with offers that don't come close to matching the original poster's requests, and hosts stating that they can host a user if they get rid of their need for a certain aspect that they specifically requested!
IMO, hosts should only reply if they can offer what was explicitly requested.

Actually I liked it better without replies. It was so easy going through the list checking from beginning to end, now with the threads bumping up and down I find myself going into the same ( well, actually much because most threads have so clever headers, like 'Host needed' ) threads over and over again.

Not to mention there's probably about 6 million, "I've PM'ed you" or "You've got mail" posts... (I don't look there often), and you know know why replies were disabled. Unfortunately, people posting requests didn't always look at the first READ ME post (explaining that replies were disabled), and many thought the forum was just dead, thus it was pointless to post there. Personally, it was a small price to pay...
I could be wrong, and only Matt will be able to tell you for sure, but my guess is that there won't be many major changes made until a decision on the sale takes place (*if* of course).

Yea, but on the plus side, it lets the rest of us see the stellar sales pitches of so many hosts :).
