Hello,

I am trying to develop a WebSite, which will provide a complete CMS type enviroment. Our community base involving people from all walks of Life, suffering from all types of Anxiety Related Disorders. Because of the nature of the site (and past experiences with sites, that don't seem to give a RAT's *** about their users), the better security, tracking, and logging of traffic we can maintain is crucial.
This site is very important to me! I have many friends, and a few family members which suffer from the mildest forms-to the most extreme. This is how I choose to do my part, in making a difference in not only a loved ones life... but a complete strangers too! Someone that may very well be at the point of no return, and offer them the compassion, understanding, and friendship which some/most of them could only recieve on the internet... along with several treatment options which will be available online soon, too! (upwards of 100-500 pages of content to boot, for anyones reading - our whole staff *2 associates and myself* can upload all of the content pages as such - or supply it to the programer which is selected for the Job.)

What our wants/needs are:

1) Interested in something similar to phpWebSite! (pindus theme, would be our design preferrence)
2)vBulletin Implemented with any CMS, or other scripts. 3)Chat-Room/s (have used Chattersonline.com's script and really like all the bells and whistles it has) Would need multiple rooms to boot in the future.
4)URL's should be 100% search engine friendly.
5)Consult with me until I can get a grasp on the language (maybe as little as 2 months)

My offer in Return:

Would like to find a person which may be looking for a new hosting enviroment... I can spare a fair amount of space and bandwidth on my account as a multi-hosted domain for up to one year.
(25-50mgs space/ 2-3 gig bandwidth)

Registration of 1 domain name(current/new)... for one year also

Possibility of Advertising, and/or some other little something for compensation of your time and talents (amount only limited by your abilities and completion of job)

If you are interested at all, please send me an email. All counter-offers will be accepted and a decision will be based on the candidate taking all factors into consideration.

Thank you for taking your time to read this thread.

Have a nice Day!

IMHO, for the job your offer is too little.

I can get a better hosting for only $4 a month.

I can do this site to your satisfaction but I have free hosting, unlimited space and bandwidth already... e-mail me and maybe we could work something out...

Hey XP,

I am well aware of what you can do with that 4 bucks of yours!

Instead of wasting your time to poke fun..... why not make a counter-offer.

I would be real curious to see what that would be!

As an Engineer, I am quite sure you are to costly for us... since you piped in though, lets have it!

When I see an opportunity to help someone out... I would try to advise them on how they may better whatever it is they are attempting.

Seeing as how I am no Hosting Provider, the offer only gives up space and bandwidth as ONE PART of the payment SUGGESTED, along with a domain name, and even a third option that appears to be an open-ended offer (open for discussion)

BTW, you site is not designed very versatile.

It runs off my screen. (using IE 6, 6x8) That's a bit annoying when a surfer would have to scroll to see the right side of the page, sorta made me loose interest right off the bat. Of course you may know this already! If so, thats pretty lame to design a site targeted to a specific resolution. ( I know you did not ask for a review, thought I may show you what you do when you offer someone HELP!)

Have a Nice Day!

thank you for your review. I am already aware of the problem. since it appears that most people do not use 800x600 any more, I am not working on it.

maybe you think your advice is very helpful, but to me it is not. but you know what? I still appreciate it. If you think my post is not helpful, fine. :o

XP, I agree you're wrong when it comes to that. Most people are still using 8x6. Allot of people who aren't technical use this resolution. As a business practice you should design your site at 8x6 so people can adjust from there.

Just a thought.

NicoV & cahostnet,

Thanks you two... for backing the generous offering of help to the Engineer.

Since, I went out of my way to offer up some advice to him... I will take it one step further.

XP, you should become a frequent user of SITEPOINT.COM. They have an awesome forums setup for people like us! Matter of fact, the subject of screen resolutions have been hashed/rehashed over there. Seems to me that the number of users (8*6) far outweigh any other resolution known to date!

Best of Luck, to you all!!!

Steve

P.S. This request of a Developer is officially closed. I am working with 2 individuals that were eager to assist me after offering their own suggestions for payments!

Thanks code_etc & an aspiring IT student from Australia (since she pmed me, I will keep her nic confidential)

P.S.S. What I really admire is the 100+ people that read this post and thought (to themselves) THIS GUYS IS NUTS!!!!

I am surprised that so many people still uses 800x600. I submited the site two several review forums, nobody really complained about it until now.

all right, i will make it more compatible with 800x600. thanks you all. btw, i am not a web designer although i am good at programming.
