Greetings,

Let me explain what I want to do.

I have laptop at home which I want to access remotely from my office computer.

I have Comcast cable at home. There are 4 laptops connected wirelessly thru Microsoft broadband modem.

As far as I understand I can't connect directly to ip address that comcast assigned to me because modem is not connected directly to my laptop.

How can I use Remote Desktop or VNC to connect to my laptop from work pc?

Thanks

What are you using as a wireless access point? If it's a router/ap, most do port forwarding which would translate the public IP to the NAT'd internal address/port.

I use Microsoft Wireless router

Could you explain how to do port forwarding?

Check out port forwarding in your basestation management, under security.

Great stuff, really!

I've 3 boxes connected to a 512kbps adsl line. I stay 3hrs from my Office and there's no Internet Connection available at home.

Is there anyway I can connect my home pc to my office systems and share the internet connection.

What Do I need?
Whats the approximate cost?
Is it worth?

Thanks
