Hello,

If you could, please take a look at http://www.pop3checker.com and tell me what you think of the design and what you think might be good to change. Also, any features you think might be of our benefit to add. The website is for a free web-based service we are launching allowing you to check your POP3 based email accounts through your web browser, and even comes with an address book and folders.

In any case, please take a look and give me your constructive criticism.

Thanks!

Rory

needs graphics....

By the looks of the browser listing you're looking at compatibility with everyone which is handy. I just don't feel it's very appealing though. Maybe you should split the site into two or three types with a redirect. Net version, lite version, and PDA version. Even the net version doesn't need much.. Look at hotmail. Very simple but it's effective and appealing (to a point).

Maybe even if you just move that form over to the right, and add a splash graphic on the left to liven things up a bit.

You might clean up the alignment on the form work, Rory -- that looks a bit unprofessional.

I'd also suggest not slamming the header against the top.

But the simple design? I think that's just fine. A bit of window dressing would be okay, surely; but personally, when I'm filling out forms, I prefer plainer, less distracting pages.

any news on your pop checker? it would be great to offer this to clients, but right at the bottom is your web hosting advertisement...

Right now, there is an advertisement for GetWebHosted. This is mostly due to lack of advertisers who wish placement.

In regards to the design, I'm not on the development team for design(I do the technical portion). I passed along the suggestions given however, and we'll see what happens as a result of them.

Best Regards,
