Hi,

Some .com domain registrats has their home address and phone numbers hidden while some do not.

If it is hidden, is it possible for anyone to obtain them?

I know that eNom has this privacy option where they hide domain registrant's info. I'm not quite sure how that works. I don't quite understand why alot of domain registrant's info are made public. Is this a right issue where this information needs to be available for the public?

All registrars offer a private listing when you order your domain but they charge you a few bucks extra for it. As for getting a home address and number for a private listing, I don't think you can, as the domain owner didn't want his/her information listed so that is why they got a private listing.

If the registrant availed of his/her registrar's privacy service, no.

Simple: just buy it from the provider. ;)

It's not exactly a "right issue". It's part of the registration contracts
of all registrars with the Registry and ICANN.

One practical application for this is to assist law enforcing bodies in
tracking down those involved in illicit and/or illegal activities.

Last I checked, omnis.com also provides free privacy service.
