G'day!

I run a small US-based business that sells psychological tests and reports online. Most of my clients are in Australia.

I would like to accept credit card payments from my clients. Volumes are relatively low - c.15 transactions a month for a total of c. $7000 a month.

I would like to receive my funds in the US. Does anyone have any advice for me regarding the best way to go about accepting credit cards? I do not have a merchant account and am trying to do this in a cheap (but reliable ;)) way.

The Paymate services don't look very good and their fees are quite high. ~2% to the seller and ~3% to the buyer - and this is before the funds are sent to the USA!

Thanks for the suggestion though. I'm looking for a more reasonable option that won't cost me ~7% of my bottom line.

YawCow or something like it. It's an Australian PayPal.

Try HSBC or NAB, they are both banks and may be able to provide something for you. Probably more luck with HSBC as they are international.

I seem to remember hearing that Well's Fargo had a multi-currency account. Of course, there is always Worldpay, or possibly 2checkout. I think that card service international (www.cardservice.com) has a multi-currency offering.

Paymate is the only Australian option, if you are not in Australia. Although, I don't have much good to say about them.

Good luck.
