Does anyone have any experiences with this? thanks vijay Chicken 01-31-2002, 07:58 PM I'm not sure how CNET ratings are done (could be just bought advertising), but regardless, catalog is a fairly well known host which seems to have a good reputation. I'm not sure if there are any catalog users here or not... optix 01-31-2002, 08:01 PM I keep getting sent over there. people tell me its good. i don't know first hand though. pcsteve 01-31-2002, 08:10 PM I have first hand experience. About 3 years ago i had my website hosted with them. I must admit that their uptime was great. About 98% ..pretty good. Sometimes though ...i had problems ftping to my account and it was almost impossible to login into their filemanger program they created. (it just timed out 80% of the time...most likely on a slow server...) Support was the worest part. It took about 1 week to get a reply almost all the time....the fastest was about 3 days turn-around. But, i really only used support about 10 times for the period of a year.....so it was no big deal for me. I just liked the uptime. That was about 3 years ago ..so maybe things have changed That's it  optix 01-31-2002, 08:14 PM who runs your servere now? Whitey 01-31-2002, 08:39 PM I had a dedicated server with them last year. Their dedicated support has always been very helpful and responsive in fairly decent time. Uptime was never a problem for me. Not sure how their shared web hosting is though. Overall I think they are a pretty decent company. Hope this helps out. |
