Hi.

http://www.eeladies.com/

This is not a new site it is working for 7 months already. And I have to confess it is not successful. There are almost no clients.

I would like any feedback that would help us to correct the situation.

Thanks a lot.

Took a small look. The design seems ok so I don't think it's that. It all ran a little slowly for me though - enough to make me think about poking my back button.

Umm, have you advertised it? I would suppose you'd have to have a pretty high traffic flow to get a site like that active. I haven't a clue what the going rate is to chat to a russian girl is these days :) but $20 seems pretty high to me. *shrug*

One thing maybe, and it's a bit of a long shot... I notice the photos look very professionally done. Maybe too professional. The little voice in my head was telling me maybe the pictures weren't real girls as they didn't have that 'amatuer' look I'd imagine a lot of those dating type sites would have.

'Fess up, Greg. You know you've paid more than that.

well there was that *one* time. It cost me $49.95 but I promise it doesn't count!! After talking for about an hour we decided to meet. Turns out the beautiful young russian girl I thought I was talking to, was in fact a 15 year old daught horse with bad eyes. I suppose I should have realized from the poor typing skills that hooves were in use, but just assumed english was his second language.

Though it did explain why he wanted to call me Wilbur all the time.

Well, the solution to that one is simple enough, Greg.

Never again shell out hard earned cash for foreign women without first using the new Ronco Oat-Breath Detector...

It is probably because of the host. It's webhosting.com
Because I have optimized the images myself and I know how to do it right =).

It was advertized in Italy as I know. The traffic is about 60 visits per day.

Hm..
Thanks a lot.

AndyBa, the problem is likely not the site -- but the traffic.

60 hits a day is extremely low. It typically takes thousands of hits daily to bring a site to success.

I believe your best efforts might be spent on promotion.

etLux makes a good point. If you use the 0.1% figure that seems common for banner ad click throughs as a guide, you need a ton of traffic to make up the numbers. Maybe advertising through some other personals websites. At least you'd be targeting your audience from the start.

There are two things that appeared immediately obvious to me:

1. There is absolutely no text on your main page (save for text links to other dating services/web rings/etc.) Your images are really nice looking...however, without text, it's very difficult for a search engine to index your page properly (if at all). Consider a 50-100 word description focussing on 3-5 keywords for your site, similar to what you've done in your meta tags. Check out http://www.searchenginesecrets.com if you want some really good info on the search engines and how to master them.

2. While banner exchanges/web rings/etc. (particularly the Hit Exchange one you use...an excellent choice for a banner exchange by the way) can be effective for bringing traffic, they can also take it away just as easily. The best trick I've learned for banner exchanges is select only the ones with targeting, and elect to host banners that AREN'T related to your site theme. This way, you don't risk losing a visitor inadvertently to your competition.

Now as far as that comment about the ladies' pictures go, there is a certain logic to it. However, you don't want to go to "amateur" looking pictures either. You are a professional site and you want to keep things that way.
