I had signed up with entityhosting for a reseller package earlier this month. I have posted the many problems i had with the company on the board as some of you may have read. Entity was aware i was having problems and not happy with their downtime and would be switching servers to Turnkeyresellers ( so far things are going great here great uptime great support !!! )

ok on with the story

Well i was trying to switch my DNS from entity over to Turnkey i submitted several tickets to Entity and tried to contact live support which was down everyday x 2 weeks, Well one of my friends knew about the problems i was having and tonight got lucky and caught Entity's live support up, He told them he needed the ENOM information so that he could login and change the DNS. My friend had no password for my account no verification he should be able to change anything and in no way was affiliated with me besides the fact he told the helpdesk that he was my friend.

THEY GAVE HIM THE PASSWORD ?!?!?!

which was great that i can finally get my site back up but what if that wasn't my friend and it was someone who just got a free domain because of them i mean come on where is the security or business standards?

Hmmm, passwords should only be sent to email address on record for that account. Glad your kind of happy at your new host but it strikes me as odd that you say "great support" when it appears that support tickets went unheeded and and you had to wait to get someone live instead.

NO no sorry for confusion my tickets went unanswered at the old host entity hosting and entity was the one who gave my passwords out,

The support at turnkey has been great

Wow that's pretty bad they should not give that sort of info out over chat without verifying billing information OR sent it to the email address on file with the account.

That is pretty scary, but it's not uncommon. That's how Kevin Mitnick did a lot of his "attacks" if you will, simply calling up someone and getting them to hand over sensitive information.

They gave the password to your friend? It is impossible, they shouldn't give out password to anyone who pretends that he is your friend.

Sorry if I am wrong, its just a bit hard for me to understand your problem.
