Hello,
Has anyone had contact with this company in
the last 24 hours?
I have not heard from them.
My site as been down since 1:00 EST yesterday.
Along with my 60+ clients.
Not many, unless you're taking nasty phone calls. :-)
Anyway, this company has been *great* to
me. There has been some downtime, but I
could not complain until now.
If you have any info, I would appreciate it.

The server you are on, Eric, has been down for the last 27 hours. We had some problems with an upstream provider on that server that has now been resolved. Servers should be live within 30 minutes.
SmartWeb apologizes for this downtime on swweb4. If you are a customer on this server who was affected by this outage, please contact us at billing@smartmailhosting.com to receive a credit.
As a note, smartwebservice.com was only down for 1 hour yesterday until we moved it to another server.

While these things can happen anyone, I think during the downtime one should be extra responsive/alt send out an email to all customers explaining what's going on.

That's what happens when you are dealing with a host which does not have reseller support by telephone. There should be some telephone to contact them during emergencies (at the least). You take the heat from your customers. I don't know this host personally. But I would never sign-up as a reseller with any host, that does not have some telephone support for resellers. When things like this happen you are responsible for your customers and have to listen to them.
