trying to figure out which is better, SuSe Enterprise, or RedHat Enterprise
![]() | View Full Version : Anybody use SuSe Enterprise with their dedicated box? zmontano69 11-03-2004, 06:09 PM trying to figure out which is better, SuSe Enterprise, or RedHat Enterprise asmar 11-04-2004, 07:23 AM I am using both. SuSE is much better than Red Hat and I still cannot understant why people go straight with Red Hat without even check SuSE's (Novell) products. SuSE Enterprise Server has better tools to administer the server and extremely good support. I would highly recommend to go with SuSE unless it is Debian :) rghf 11-04-2004, 07:31 AM Techincally they are both pretty good however from an attracting customer point of view I might say RedHat just for the perceived user difference in that most customers will of heard of it. Also if you want C-Panel/Directadmin you will have to go RH asmar 11-04-2004, 07:54 AM My suggestions are: If you want CPanel go with CentOS (same like ES 3) or SuSE 9.0 If you don't want CPanel go with Debian or if you are not familiar with it go with SuSE. I am using SuSE since 7.1 version on dedicated servers and I am more than happy. In the other hand I am trying to migrade a couple of servers from Red Hat ES to Debian and CentOS to save some money. Hope that helps. |
