Ive seen this before as a poll on /. last week but, im sitting here and its 3:00pm GMT and im on the internet.

Ive been on it most of the day, ive had a few calls but im still on the internet now.

My boss is sitting behind me and can see ive always got the internet open but doesnt care.

Ive actually started using different browsers so that it doesnt look like im browsing the net all day, lol

Morning = IE
Lunch = Netscape
Afternoon = Opera

:D

Do you all feel the guilt like me or am I alone? - Am I also alone in my tactics or is it common practice?

Ah xtstrike, I feel your pain, me, I hide the "standard" IE buttons and links on my IE tool bar so from afar it is not too obvisious that I am on the net, sounds goofy but it makes me feel a little less guilty.

Just don't go to sites like www.popcap.com and www.uproar.com and start playing the online games. Once you do that the level of guilt skyrockets.

its normally ok in the morning, from 8:00am - 11:00am i feel no guilt, then it hits the afternoon and the guilt starts to hit me, "someone is paying me to browse the internet!"

ive seen utopia (online game) and my Director tried to get me into playing it, lmao

Hmm.... I often spend my entire 10-hr shift on the Internet, sometimes with a dozen browsers open, IRC, AIM, and a couple shell sessions going.

Oh, wait.... That's my job. ;)

Heh...my monitor is turned away from my office. =) Of course, I own the company so they can't come after me. :P:P
