Synergy 11-25-2000, 01:26 AM Dotster offers a bulk registrar kit. nox 11-25-2000, 07:52 AM I also heartily recommend eNom Inc. (enom.com) An interface to the registry is available for Windows, PHP4 (not PHP3)or Perl and is extremely customisable (and free). Good price on domains for resellers too. kunal 11-25-2000, 09:07 AM Originally posted by felix220 I also heartily recommend eNom Inc. Have you used it? nox 11-25-2000, 09:19 AM I am currently using them to register all my domains and I am also installing/customising the Perl/CGI interface for my site upgrade. They are approachable, helpful and whenever there is a problem they fix it within 24 hrs, usually less than 12, except for weekends when they hibernate. I have no financial interest in the company other than to pay for domain names. They provide great DNS services also. I believe that other registries have or are soon to release similar services, but I am very happy with these guys. Why, do you know of a problem? MadMax82 11-25-2000, 09:24 AM I would also put in a plug for enom. We just moved over to them from OpenSRS because of a price break and ease of payment. I strongly recommend them! Timothy 11-25-2000, 09:42 AM That's interesting... I think I'll try them. I've used them to register my own domains before and the support has been excellent. So it should be pretty much the same. MadMax82 11-25-2000, 09:49 AM Well one difference with enom is that you can fund your account with any amount you would like rather than the $250 minimum of OpenSRS. Not knocking them either they have been fine but enom better fits our needs at this time. BTW has anyone here setup the script and hooked it to a credit card system for real time billing? nox 11-25-2000, 10:06 AM MadMax82 I am in the process of doing just that. In fact the only hurdle I really have to overcome is the merchant interface, which is not enom's problem, it's our merchant gateway. The CGI script has a hole to plug it in, as you probably know already. I will post something here (if and) when it's done if that works for you. The rest of the script seems to work just fine. MadMax82 11-25-2000, 10:09 AM Thanks we are not CGI gurus but have a basic understanding. I like the rest of the script just fine. BC 11-25-2000, 07:40 PM Hmmmmm.... Funny how fl538's IP re-directs to 'awebhost-GW.customer.dsl.alter.net' (the hop before his IP address) I think someone's trying to indulge in some very sneaky self-promotion..... Imperum 12-06-2000, 09:14 AM Dont go to names4ever....!! we have registered some domains at the begin of 2000 trought her web form on our website. customers payed there domain registration to Names4ever via Credit card or bank transfer but domains has never ben registered! We wrote also to ICANN to solve this problems. The names4ever form runs for only 3 weeks on our website but have done a lot of damage to our company. The end of story is that WE have registered and payed domains for our customers they loose with naes4ever... :-/ |
