hi all,
just saw that there is a new feature on WHM that allows to transfer accounts from CPanel server to another CPanel server!!
great !! :D

Any comments about this new feature?

Must be feelin the heat from all the new control panels about to come out (hostgui, virtualCP, alabanza) because every since their announcements I have seen all kinds of changes.

where is that option located. i can not see it. ! i am running cpanel from cpanel.net Version 4.0.0 on one of my server. :cool:

I tested it already the other night and it did not work.
You need to make sure both servers have the most current version, and then I ran this and it began working:

rsync -av rsync://rsync.cpanel.net/scripts /scripts

There is a discussion running about this now also here:

which is where I got the information when it came out.

I hear this may not help with big accounts yet, but I will test shortly.

You need Vers. 4.2.2 on both server to transfer an account.

we even tired this on a 28 mb acct allocated 300 mb, and it still didnt work, as other hosts have not been able to get it to work either...your lucky :)

You're right. The one I tried was an almost empty account with nothing enabled, etc.

It doesn't seem to move anything else. I guess we'll have to watch and see if it gets fixed.
