I am looking at a dedicated server solution that has specs:
650mhz cpu, 512mb RAM, Redhat linux version 7.1, 40gig Monthly bandwidth, 3 ips, 20gig eide harddrive, support online ticket system.
How much would you experienced users give for such a dedicated host in USA?

There really isn't a typical amount.
The price leader right now is Rackshack (www.rackshack.net).
Webauthorities.com is another place I would consider. I was thinking of going with them for some servers, but decided to (finally) buy my own box instead.

It does really depend on who the upstream bandwidth provider and 'hosting' company is. But recently (in the Special offers forum mostly) there have been some similar servers for around $50-79. And given that you can probably find a 1G/512M machine with 100Gb bandwidth going for around $100-$150 you wouldn't want to pay too much more than that. :)

Hi Wolfy thx for the reply. Many posts here recommend Dialtone and Rackspace for web hosting. What kind of pricing would these guys offer for the specs I mentioned above? I mean what would be a good price from them?
Where are the special deals that are going for $125-$150 for these specs?
Any help would be appreciated much.

When you try to advertise your own company in a public forum, your hand gets slapped....
Just in case you wondered why your message has *'s now.

I'd like to hear as to what are good prices for the above minimum configuration from good dedicated hosting companies not the weird super discounted mom' n' pop shows that are being listed here

I would pay no more than $75/mo or less. I ordered the following lastweek with Lightone.net...
1.2ghz
512 Ram
40gig hd
300 gigs xfer
Windows 2000 Advanced server
$150/mo + $200 setup with rent to buy option..
They are a little bit slow on getting the server up, but I just love the pricing and my ping...
