Hey guys,
I'm really interested in these guys, so I wanted to ask if perhaps someone has already signed up with them for a ded?
I'd like to test download speeds, ping the connections etc.
Comments are -ofcourse- also very welcome !!
Good/bad --> why?
You know what I mean... right?
Thanks & see ya!
Thomas K.
ps: could you tell me: are their prices tax-included? All-in?
Not as tricky as RackShack, right?
Thanks

As a resident of Texas as well, I think it unfortunate that the state is anti-business in so many respects, and their attempts to collect sales tax on everything is just one example. In fact, Texas laws of this nature have frequently been overturned in federal courts, but that is generally years later. (Example-property taxes on auto leases just overturned).
Unfortunately, Rackshack has no choice...and it puts them at an 8% +/- competitive disadvantage.

But at $99.00/server, what's 8% :)

Also note you must pay sales tax on all $$$ you make from the server. So you have to charge your clients sales tax and get a Texas tax ID to be legal.

Um.... correct me if i'm wrong but unless your business its-self is in Texas you don't have to do that..... Just because a server is in Texas but yet the company is registered in lets say California, they follow california laws and not texas laws. The only way texas tax laws become revelant is if they actually have an office there.

Yes, according to Texas' weird laws, you have to pay them taxes on your clients even if you aren't in Texas. On the other hand, they have no way of enforcing it, so you are pretty safe if you dont.

If you have a server in Texas, you have an office in Texas....

But we do have servers in the same colocation center and performance is quite good. Can't speak as to colo.fm however.
