Just wondering where everyone is getting these people pics
I see on almost every hosting site.....

Is there some place where you can go and download images of
people.........

Mostly royalty free art. Some people nic it from other peoples site (not recomended :D )

OT: I absolutly hate those pics of beautiful looking people standing in a sparkling datacenter and with an expression on their face like they have just been told they've won a million bucks.

To me it shouts: FAKE!

If I had time I'ld make a hosting site with pictures of ugly people, pants dropped half down their but, cigarette in the mouth looking grumpy as hell with an expression on their face like they were just woken up in the middle of the night.

Pictures of a datacenter with brown waterleak marks on the ceiling, water dripping down the wall and rusty server equipment with a piece of ducktape here and there to hold it all together.

See if anyone signs up :)

I like the idea also of "realism" shots for the web pages :D

Many web masters are getting their photo stocks from places like eyewire but if you want something less slick visit istockphoto (http://www.istockphoto.com)

I know this pic has already been posted a bunch of times, but it just seems appropriate :)

Maybe you should use this on your site. It brings a whole new meaning to "The servers are down" :D

Why yes, that is the perfect photo for the old "someone tripped over the power cord" reply I have been seeing posted here as support replies  .

I have seen another one similar to that but there were flames coming out of the top of one of the servers, this one could be used for the classic "your hard drive burned up".

There are also sites where you can purchase by image
or join a membership (best way)
eyewire, gettyworks, etc.
arttoday used to have some pretty nice images, but Im not sure if they still do...might be worth checking out though.

 That pic is great... Whats the terms of use for that image? I can think of a great use for it on my site.

If I would have had a server on a rack that did that, I'd be pis*ed. :)

I'm gonna have to say that pic is a keeper too :D

[edit]
I can just hear this big crash and from the other end of the root an admin somewhere shouts "What was that?"

Tech: "... uh, nothing! (Dude, we gotta tip that back up fast)"

... or at least the sound of a fire door closing ;-)

"We're sorry our servers are down. We've told and told Joe not to drink so heavily. He just shouts at us about the aliens and how they're trying to take over the world with sneaky PHP scripts.

P.S. We're trying to reinstall the PHP as fast as we can, but some of the hard drives popped out and have stuff leaking from them so we're buying new ones. Thank you for your patience!"
