I've been looking at this site... http://www.ubrandit.com In particular the branded ISP services. Has anyone got any info on this bunch? As always it *seems* like a good idea, but I have a feeling they might be the ***** type when it comes to support of clients.

I'd love to brand a 3000 pop dail-up service under akashik.net but if they don't offer good support the 'invisible' branding just makes my company look like they don't care. Quite a catch 22 huh? :) Also there's no pricing I could find unless I email them. I'm a little gun shy of that sort of thing since I went looking at merchant accounts. Had to email a host of them and my spam increased a *lot* soon after...

anyone?

i've found a solution to deal with spammers... i just set up an account spam@mydomain.com and let people go crazy there... i check it sometimes, but don't worry too much, at least it doesn't interfere with my main e.mails... :)

Heres what I do, on some of my domains, we have the filter of *, and anything that gets sent to anyone at the domain of ours gets forwarded on to me.

So, when I go to a site, lets call it sitex and I am filling out a form to them for into and what not, I put in that my email is sitex@mydomain.com in this way they will respond to that, and if they give it or sell it to someone else then I know where it came from and can witch hunt them down and make them accountable for it.

We also use a general email address as our sending email to all people that we dont know, and often times will just go in and change the name on it just before sending, to using the afore mentioned terms.

So in doing it this way we have shaved a lot of spam off our mailboxes, and at least know where it comes from, and I can honestly say that I've never gotten spammed outside of the companies that I have sent to, for example, if I have sitex@mydomain.com , I've never had that email address being used in spam from say siteb.

Greg,

This thread is very closely related to

http://webhostlink.com/showthread.php?threadid=3433

I spoke directly to and receive a pricing list from Ubrandit several months back. If you want a co-branded site, it'll cost you over $6,000 in setup costs, if I recall. They were NOT cheap.

I can look to see if I have the spreadsheet they emailed me if you're interested.
