Hi,

Our company whilst focused on dedicated servers, has recently started shared and reseller hosting using control panels.

We are already using Plesk 7 (for both Windows and Linux machines).

We would now like to get into this business with more seriousness, so need to know what control panel software & billing software will take care of the following needs:

Control Panel
1. Windows 2003 Based
2. Be able to support distributed Email architecture (for example, SendMail, IMail, Visnetic Email Server, Lotus Domino, Microsoft Exchange, PostOffice Mail Server - anyone will do, albeit SendMail is something we would be phasing out perhaps).
3. Be able to support distributed Databases (MS SQL and Oracle 9i)
4. Have Web Based Email
5. Be able to integrate with Gateway Level Antivirus Programs
6. Be able to have FTP Server that can somehow scan for viruses when uploading files, etc.

Billing Software:
1. Automated Signup
2. 2CO Integration
3. Paypal Integration
4. Support Ticket System Built-in

Domain Registrar
1. Be able to connect to BulkRegister
2. Be able to connect to eNom

From the looks of it - it seems Plesk+Modern Bill would do it? Can anyone concur?

Babs.

I would like to suggest HELM (http://www.webhostautomation.com/products/helm/features.aspx). It has inbuilt support for billing and integration with different payment processors. You can checkout the abovementioned link for the complete features of the HELM Control Panel.

Oh I just dig the multi-server features on Helm..... how are they support-wise?

Support is good but the existing version of HELM is having some bugs but they keep on fixing them and add new functionality on regular basis :)

Try registering at their forum (http://forums.webhostautomation.com) so that you can get better idea.

Speaking of bugs! They all have them. Plesk I know had quite a few, and like you said, they keep correcting them and upgrading them.

Yes, you are right. And practially, no Control Panel can be bug free as they have to integrate many software at once. Everything keeps on changing... windows server, ftp server, mail servers and so on.
