I'm a web developer and I believe SiteBySize reseller plan may fit my needs.
I've been reading on this board and I've found positive comments about their support.
Before signing up with them, I've submitted some simple questions both to sales@sitebysize.net (72 hours ago) and to info@sitebysize.net (48 hours ago), but I still have got no answer (neither autoresponders mailed me back).
I'm quite disappointed, and it may be I should look elsewhere: if I don't get a good presale support, I'm afraid I will be left completely alone once I've signed up.
BTW, since I've been reading nothing but good reviews about SiteBySize, on WHT, I hope some SBS person may explain me here the reason why my questions have not been answerd.
Below is the mail I sent to SBS twice. If any SiteBySize customer can answer some of the questions, thanks in advance!
My mail:
I'm an italian web developer.
I'm evaluating to purchase your reseller package for my sites and my customer's sites. I would start purchasing your Reseller 1 (250/5) plan and then upgrade it while adding more sites.
There are some questions, referred to the Reseller (250/5) plan - $65 Quarterly, I would like you to answer, please.
I know it looks like a lot of questions, but they should be pretty easy to answer and not take much of your time.
1. are the two dedicated IPs mentioned on your site included in the $65 Quarterly?
2. will I be able to assign all sites to the same dedicated IP (will my sites be kept on a single server)?
3. some of my customer's site use an italian payment gateway (a well known bank). Such gateway requires a java class (for data encryption) to be installed in the trust/javalib directory. Is it possible for you to install such java class? Which will the fee be?
4. the Italian registration authority is somewhat rigid in dns delegation for the .it TLD. I've been told they require the primary and secondary dns to reside on different IP nets (I'm not sure they really require this). May you be so kind to tell me if any .it domain is already hosted in your reseller plans? If not, do you believe I will find problems hosting .it domains?
5. if one of my customers owns two domains, two different extra accounts are needed? or my customer can handle both domains using a single extra account?
6. my main reseller account allows me to handle all the sites? or do I have to login using the specific extra account for the specific domain?
7. for instance, assume I have to host 4 sites. Two are mine (site1 and site2) and two (site3 and site4) belong to one of my customers. Do I have to buy 4 extra accounts and 4 extra domains? Or I can handle site1 and site2 from my main reseller account (and then just purchase 2 extra accounts and 4 extra domains)?
8. is the mail box number unlimited for each domain?
9. are mail boxes to be accounted within the reserved HD space?
10. is the mail traffic accounted within the monthly max Data Transfer? and the ftp traffic?
11. is it possible to monitor the used HD space and used Data Transfer? Globally and for each extra account?
12. is it possible to set limits to an Extra account? both for the HD space and for the Data Transfer?
13. is it possible to upgrade from a Reseller Plan to another? additional Fees?
14. some of my customers specifically require to access to traffic reports. Are there traffic statistics available (graphics for number of hits, referrers, on a daily basis, and so on)? Is it possible to see some demo of such statistic pages? Is it available a raw log file too? Are statistics available for each distinct domain?
15. Do you have a demo account so I can see the features of your reseller control panel?
